OREANDA-NEWS. January 18, 2011. Beltelecom in collaboration with Russian telecommunications operator Rostelecom and Latvian operator Lattelecom in the first half of January completed works on extension of the Internet gateway of Belarus. Moreover there was conducted channel optimization in association with Russian partner TransTeleCom.

The completed works made it possible to increase the capacity of the external channel of the country by 13 Gbps: in Russian direction by 10 Gbps and in West direction by 3 Gbps. In the result of the conducted planned extensions the total capacity of the Internet gateway of Belarus equals to 80 Gbps.
