Belarusian Ministry Proposes to Raise Produce Procurement Prices
OREANDA-NEWS. January 18, 2011. The Belarusian Agriculture Ministry suggests raising procurement prices of farm produce 25%-41% depending on the type of crop, Deputy Agriculture Minister Vasily Pavlovsky told reporters.
Prices for cereals should rise 26.7%, for sugar beet 37%, and malt barley 41%, he said.
The proposed increase is attributed to the rise in fertilizer prices and growth in costs of work and processing operations.
