On Monday, Jan 17, the UX closed 1.37% up at 2,605.12 ppt. Total equity turnover increased to UAH 190.4mn. All sectors finished in the black except railcar producers that declined 0.5%. Steel makers significantly advanced as ALMK surged 9.59% on the corporate news heading both by growth and volume. Banks advanced thanks to the positive dynamics of USCB (plus2.79%) and BAVL (plus1.40%). Coke producers increased 0.5% with both AVDK (plus0.6%) and YASK (plus0.37%) marginally higher. On the foreign exchanges Kulczyk Oil (plus11.1%) and Regal (plus9.6%) climbed significantly on high turnovers. Meanwhile, Ferrexpo dropped 3.2%.
