Share of Promsvyazbank in Russian Market in 2010 Reached 10.14%
OREANDA-NEWS. January 17, 2011. According to the calculations made on the basis of data provided by the SWIFT network, the share of the letters of credit issued by Promsvyazbank in 2010 made up 10.14 percent of the total number of similar messages of Russian financial institutions that passed through the SWIFT system. In doing so the highest ratio during 2010 was reached by the bank in Q4 - the ratio was 11.05 percent.
Promsvyazbank steadfastly occupies leading positions by the number of the letters of credit issued and passed through SWIFT: in 2009 the bank’s share comprised 10.63 percent.
The share of Promsvyazbank’s export letters of credit in the total volume of similar messages of Russian financial institutions, according to SWIFT, was 11.11 percent in 2010 (the best result for 2010 was 11.51 percent achieved in Q4). For the sake of comparison, this indicator comprised 13.44 percent according to the results of 2009, and in 2008 it averaged 10.89 percent. Figures confirm the bank's position as one of the leaders of the Russian market of export trade finance that is explained by the high rate of development at Promsvyazbank of this business with the CIS countries.
According to the statistics provided by SWIFT, Promsvyazbank has been occupying leading positions among Russian banks by the volumes of operations of financing foreign trade activities of its clients during the last few years.
