OREANDA-NEWS. January 17, 2011. In 2010 the share of crude oil in country’s overall export made up 86.53% with 53.91% rise against 2009.

In 2009 the share of crude oil in export made 81.57% with decline of 72.86%.

The State Customs Committee (SCC) informs that over the last year the country exported 31.86 million tons of crude for USD 18.45 bn versus 27.829 million tons for USD 11.989 bn in 2009.

In December crude oil export totaled 2.589 million tons for USD 1.6 bn versus 2.916 million tons for USD 1.79 bn in November, 2.527 million tons for USD 1.459 bn in October, 2.67 million tons for USD 1.515 bn in September, 3.07 million tons for USD 1.7 bn in August, 2.776 million tons for USD 1.5 bn in July, 3.258 million tons for USD 1.808 bn in June, 2.65 million tons for USD 1.67 bn in May, 2.546 million tons for USD 1.49 bn in April, 1.95 million tons for USD 1.075 bn in March, 2.6 million tons for USD 1.475 bn in February and 2.265 million tons for USD 1.26 bn in January of 2010.

In 2010, as well as in 2009, the SOCAR Department of Marketing & Economic Operations of the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan (SOCAR) exported the whole volume of crude oil, while Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC) did not carry out any export.

At that, in December 2009 as well as in November, AIOC did not export oil versus export of 6.257 million tons in October and SOCAR exported 1.594 million tons against 1.307 million tons.

By 1st January 2010 it was carried 44.1 million tons of oil (including 3.066 million in December) via pipelines (data of controlling and measuring appliances) versus 41.29 million tons in 2009 and 1.169 million tons (78,232 tons) of oil by rail versus 1.399 million tons in 2009.

“For the past year it was pumped 2.247 million tons (versus 2.48 million tons in 2009) out of overall transportation via Baku-Novorossiysk oil pipeline, 35.18 million tons (34.57 million tons) via Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipe and 3.985 million tons (4.235 million tons) via Baku-Supsa pipe,” the Committee said.

In December transportation reached 169,605 tons via Baku-Novorossiysk, 2.707 million tons via BTC, and 199,579 tons via Baku-Supsa, while the figures totaled 129,870 tons, 2.847 million tons and 372,361 tons in January; 159,858 tons, 2.5 million tons, and 303,679 tons in February; 159,861 tons, 2.896 million tons, 376,812 tons in March; 214,664 tons, 2.9 million tons, 367,984 tons in April; 194,655 tons, 3.067 million tons and 380,764 tons in May; 169,843 tons, 2.945 million tons and  367,971 tons in July; 214,883 tons, 3.07 million tons and 364,255 tons in August; 169,888 tons, 2.979 million tons and 369,083 tons in September; 214,822 tons, 3.05 million tons, and 379,699 tons in October; and 214,592 tons, 2.89 million tons, 340,907 tons respectively.

In 2008 average export price of Azeri oil was USD 565.67 per ton (including USD 373.89 per ton in December), and in 2009 USD 430.83 per ton (USD 547.66).

And in 2010 Average export price reached USD 579.19 per ton (including USD 630.18 per ton in December.

Azerbaijan’s overall export totaled USD 21.3 bn for 2010.
