On Wednesday, Jan 12, the UX index increased by 1.48% to 2,634.44 ppt. Total equity turnover was massive at UAH 206.5mn. All sectors finished with gains. Steel makers (+4.0%) grew the most as all sector names moved up on high turnovers: AZST (+5.26%), ENMZ (+3.95%), and ALMK (+2.68%). Banks advanced 1.3% as BAVL and USCB rose 2.32% and 1.09% respectively.Railcars (+0.5%) were supported by SVGZ (+2.04%) and KVBZ (+2.19%) while MZVM sank 2.79%. On the foreign exchanges Regal surged 5.1% while most other names focused on Ukraine were nearly flat.
