OREANDA-NEWS. January 13, 2011. The Ukrainian iron ore producers decreased their monthly output of iron ore concentrate by 0.3%, although bringing up iron pellet production up by 8.0% mom. SGOK has slightly decreased its monthly iron ore concentrate output by 4.1%, simultaneously increasing pellet production by 24.1% mom. The other producers have shown stable performance.

Impressive SGOK production growth is not a surprise, as it has happened due to finishing the scheduled repairs on one of its pelletizing machines. Overall, iron ore mining industry had good yoy performance, scoring 16.9% and 8.4% in iron ore concentrate and pellets respectively.
