AirBaltic Launches New iPhone Service
OREANDA-NEWS. January 13, 2011. Latvian national airline airBaltic unveils an iPhone application, to make it more convenient for the users of the mobile device to learn about airBaltic flights and services.
Tero Taskila, Chief Commercial Officer of airBaltic: “Now iPhone and iPad users can more conveniently keep track of airBaltic’s 80 destinations in Europe, Middle East, Russia/CIS. It also allows users to monitor real-time arrivals and departures of friends and family, and check the latest information about airBaltic in social media. This is the first version of the new application, and we will continue making improvements in the coming months. We would like to learn more about our customer needs, and iPhone users are invited to comment this new tool and make suggestions in airBaltic Facebook and Twitter page.”
iPhone and iPad users can follow the latest timetable for all airBaltic flights. It is a convenient tool for planning a holiday or business trip, choosing a destination, checking the days airBaltic operates flights, finding shortest connection times.
The new iPhone tool also enables users to check the flight status real-time whilst travelling or when meeting friends or relatives. iPhone and iPad users can follow departure and arrival information, and flight disruptions.
The new tool also allows users to conveniently connect to airBaltic Facebook site, follow airBaltic tweets and read airBaltic blog Wingtips.
The new airBaltic application for iPhones is available in nine languages – English, Latvian, Russian, Lithuanian, Estonian, Norwegian, Finnish, Swedish, German. The new application can be downloaded at Apple’s iTunes site.
airBaltic serves 80 destinations from its home base at Riga, Latvia. From every one of these, airBaltic offers convenient connections via North Hub Riga to its network spanning Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, CIS and the Middle East.
