OREANDA-NEWS. January 12, 2011. In anticipation of the celebration of St. Nicholas, Oranta initiated a social initiative to support the children deprived of parental care at the patronized orphanage Oranta in the city of Drohobych in Lviv region. The initiative is supported by the Ukrainian companies and public organizations: the network of the book stores "Chytay-Gorod", the Ukrainian Association of Consumers and the Red Cross Society of Ukraine.

In the framework of the project, 29 children of the Oranta Orphanage were provided with the warm winter clothing, books, fruits and sweets by the partners of the initiative, as well as the administration of the orphanage received necessary household chemicals and the office equipment.

On Monday, December 20, a festive celebration of St. Nicholas will be conducted for the children in Drohobych, with the participation of the Oranta representatives as well as the nurses of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society and regional media. In course of the celebration the children will be presented with the personal gift packages, and the administration of the orphanage will be provided with the cleaning supplies and the office equipment.
