OREANDA-NEWS. January 11, 2011. Rostelecom and the regional telecommunications operators (RTOs) controlled by Svyazinvest have completed another stage in the reorganization and formation of a single national telecommunications operator on the basis of Rostelecom.

As part of this stage, which aims to form a single management system of the merged company, all general directors of RTOs will be appointed concurrently as Vice Presidents of Rostelecom.  At the same time, they will remain heads of RTOs until the merger process of these companies with Rostelecom is wrapped up.

From the date of their new appointments, the heads of RTOS will be in charge of developing business of the merged company in the territory of the federal district where the respective RTO operates.

At the same time, all Vice Presidents and Branch Directors of Rostelecom have been appointed concurrently as Deputy General Directors of RTOs.  In their new positions at RTOs, the branch managers of Rostelecom will be in charge of enhancing the efficiency of mutual relations between Rostelecom and RTOs in line with the process of forming the merged company.
