OREANDA-NEWS. January 11, 2011. The first products of the Refining Plant of the Oil Refining and Petrochemical Complex have been obtained as follows: naphtha, export process oil. The products were pumped into the tanks. At present subsequent adjustment of the operating conditions to produce commercial products and to start shipments is on the going.

In this connection the following cable arrived from the President of the RT, Rustam Minnikhanov, to the address of JSC Tatneft:

"Dear oil producers, oil refiners, builders, workers of installation, design and commissioning companies! In the name of the Republic of Tatarstan and myself accept congratulations with this remarkable and milestone event in the life of our Republic – the obtaining of the first batch of the products at the Oil Refining and Petrochemical Complex in Nizhnekamsk. In the memorial of our wins and achievements of the oil and gas chemical complex of Tatarstan a bright page has entered. This victory of workers is a memorable present to all the residents of Tatarstan on the eve of the New Year. The first production batch of TANECO is the result of the everyday selfless-service, proof of the complete professionalism, and responsibility at fulfillment of the assigned tasks. I am completely sure that keeping the achieved steps of work in future OJSC TANECO project will be successfully implemented within the fixed dates. On the eve of the coming 2011 please accept my best wishes, good health, family wellbeing and new accomplishments in creative labor for the benefit of Russian Federation and Republic of Tatarstan.

Please be reminded that CDU-VDU, which is figuratively called “the heart” of the refinery plant, is destined for primary split of oil into the cuts. At the stage 1A 100 % of Devonian oil will be processed, at the stage 1B – the mixture of 75 % Devonian and 25 % Carbonic oil. The process diagram of CDU-VDU is selected in such a way, that to provide by the feed all the units of the Oil Refining and Petrochemical Complex during the further deepening of the refinery. Its design capacity is 7 million tons of crude oil per year. The following will be processed at the unit: hydrocarbon gas, non-stable straight-run gasoline cut, kerosene and diesel cuts, vacuum gas oil, residue.
