Oil Export Duty Increased to USD 317.5 per Ton in 2011
OREANDA-NEWS. January 11, 2011. On 1 January 2011, the duty on crude exports for Russian oil companies was increased from USD 303.8 to USD 317.5 per ton. For 24 selected fields, the duty was upgraded from USD 108 to USD 117.5 per ton. The corresponding government decree No. 1110 was signed 24 December 2010.
The duty on light oil products was increased from USD 217 to USD 226.2 per ton; that on dark oil products from USD 116.9 to USD 121.9 pert on. The export duty in liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) was upsized from USD 118.1 to USD 149.3.
A new mechanism export duty computation mechanism for oil products and LPG is to come into force in February 2011. According to it, the export duty on light oil products is to be set at 67% of the crude export duty this year, while the duty on dark oil products could be defined at 46.7%. In 2012, the duty on light oil products is to amount 64% of the crude export duty, and that on dark oil products is to equal 52.9%.
