OREANDA-NEWS. January 11, 2011. Tariffs for electric power transmission shall come into force on 1 January 2011.

Tariff Service of the Republic of Komi approved tariffs for electric power transmission for the branch of IDGC North-West Komienergo. They shall come into force on 1 January 2011.

As in 2010, consumers can choose single-or two-part tariffs (the rate for the maintenance of the electrical network and the rate for pay for losses). The tariffs are differentiated by four voltage levels.

During the formation of tariffs for 2011 were taken into account scenarios conditions and the main parameters of socio-economic development of Russia for 2011-2013, designed by Ministry of Economic Development of Russia.

Throughout 2010 work was carried out to determine the method of tariff regulation. In connection with the restructuring of tariff regulation system have been identified two models of tariffs - a method of long-term parameters (indexing) and the RAB-based method.

Tariff Service of the Republic of Komi decided to use the long-term tariff regulation.

A three-year first long-term regulatory period was set as well as the long-term regulating options for 2011

However, taking into account the large number of overloaded centers of power, not allowing to meet the needs of the region in the technological connection and the need to build new transmission lines and substations, Komienergo plans to continue work on the switching to RAB-based regulation. This will start the process of investing in a distribution grid complex.
