OREANDA-NEWS. January 6, 2011. The Novosibirsk branch of Ingosstrakh OJSIC was selected as the preferred bidder of the public auction for the right to insure the assets of Siberian Telecom OJSC. The total insurance coverage will be about RUR 5.6 billion.

Under the insurance contract coverage is provided for the equipment owned and operated by Siberian Telecom for a 1-year period. Insurance is provided against such risks as fire, lightening strike, natural gas explosion, explosion of production equipment, damage by water from the sewage removal system, water supply system, heating system, fire extinguishing system; natural disasters; burglary and robbery; malicious actions by third parties; being run over by motor vehicles; falls of piloted aircraft and/or their fragments; short circuit, negligence during the operation or maintenance of the insured assets without violations of the operating instructions, power supply interruption.

Ingosstrakh and 7 other insurance companies participated in the bidding. "Ingosstrakh offered the best terms and became the winner," states the press services of Siberian Telecom.
