OREANDA-NEWS. January 06, 2011. As part of SOCAR’s investment program in Georgia, SOCAR Energy Georgia – SOCAR Georgia Petroleum LLC opened another eight SOCAR filling stations.

New filling stations were commissioned in Tbilisi city, Kharagauli region, Ianeti settlement of Samtredia region, Chnori settlement of Sighnaghi region, Khelvachauri region of Ajaria Autonomous Republic, Fakhrali and Kapanakchi villages of Bolnisi region, as well as in Gabal village of Lagodekhi region. Consequently, the number of SOCAR stations in Georgia reached 64.

It should be noted that about fifty Azerbaijanis were employed at these stations with permanent jobs. The opening ceremony was attended by SOCAR representatives in Georgia and workers of SOCAR Energy Georgia, Mr. Soso Laliashvili, the Head of Bolnisi Municipality, other officials, also Azerbaijani and Georgian media representatives.
