OREANDA-NEWS. January 05, 2011. Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev has declared of the country’s economic success in 2010.

In his appeal to fellow citizens President Aliyev stated that last year the economy grew by about 5%, incomes of the population by 12%, while inflation made up only 5.7%.

"In 2010 the country made USD 15 billion of investments and foreign exchange reserves increased from USD 20 billion to USD 29 billion. All these results indicate that the path chosen by Azerbaijan is true and this path selected by Azerbaijan is a path of progress and development,” Aliyev said.
