OREANDA-NEWS. January 05, 2011. On the night of the 21st/22nd of January 2011 in the town Lida and the Lida district a 6 digit numbering plan is to be introduced. Subscriber numbers will change from five to six digits through addition of the digit “5” before the existing subscriber number, and the existing area code will change from “01561” to “0154”.

New numbering plan from January 22, 2011 shall be as follows:

- for intercity communication 8 0154 5ххххх
- for international communication +375 154 5ххххх

When dialing the old number, the correct dialing plan will be informed by IVR. Any other additional information is available by the phone 153 (free inquiry service).

Population of Lida and Lida district is about 135 000 people and it is increasing constantly. In order to provide the residents of the town and district with the quality fixed telephony, Internet access and IPTV, new Exchanges are commissioning, numbering capacity is increasing, as well as a five digit numbering plan is replaced by a six digit numbering.
