OREANDA-NEWS. January 4, 2011. Vladimir Potekhin, Chief Accountant of RBD is appointed Chairman of the Taxation and Accounting Committee of the Association of Russian Banks.

The Committee headed by V. Potekhin will promote meeting the challenges faced by the banking community in the area of taxation and bookkeeping. Moreover the Committee will be developing accounting standards, accounting training programs, procedure for interaction with the major regulators – the Bank of Russia and the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation.

In the light of working up a new Accounting Law a long-term objective of the Committee is establishing the Association of Russian Banks as a self-regulatory accounting institute.
