OREANDA-NEWS. December 31, 2010. JSC  Siberian Coal and Energy Company (SUEK) has acquired a new Liebherr excavator made in Germany for the Borodinsky Surface Mine located in the Krasnoyarsk Territory, under an equipment upgrading investment project.

The Liebherr excavator will be the largest backhoe operating at the Borodinsky Mine. The operating weight of the backhoe is 52 tonnes, and its bucket capacity is 3 cu. m. This diesel-powered machine featuring hydraulic control is intended for mining operations.

During the year, the excavator will be serviced by Liebherr specialists. The excavator crew consists of operators experienced in backhoe operation and trained specifically to operate the new excavator type.
