OREANDA-NEWS. December 31, 2010. Gazpromneft NTC General Director Dmitry Volokhov, Rector of Gubkin RSU of Oil and Gas Viktor Martynov and IBM Russia/CIS General Director Kirill Kornilyev signed a tripartite agreement on joint cooperation development. The parties confirmed their commitment to creation and introduction of a number of up-to-date infrastructural and informational solutions into scientific and research programs of Gazpromneft NTC. Currently, a high performance IBM cluster meant for geologic and hydrodynamic modeling is tested based on the RSU IT Center.

Besides, the Parties agreed to extend collaboration on IBM technologies application possibilities research in the projects designed by Gazpromneft NTC including the Electronic Field Project, which represents a supercomputer meant for hydrodynamic and regional 4D-modeling, etc.

In the long term and within the framework of their collaboration, Gazpromneft NTC and Gubkin RSU of Oil and Gas target to establish a joint venture aimed at implementation of projects for innovative technologies and software design.
