Uzpromstroybank Extends Credits for 182.8 bln Soums to Small Business
OREANDA-NEWS. December 29, 2010. Commercial banks play special role in development and effective functioning of small business and private entrepreneurship. One of such banks is Uzpromstroybank open joint-stock commercial bank.
Thus, during ten months 2010 the bank extended credits worth a total of 182.8 billion soums, including microcredits worth 17.1 billion soums to subjects of small business.
In the context of branches, 46 billion soums (25%) of credit resources was extended for development of industry, 11.78 billion soums (6%) – for agriculture, 50.24 billion soums (28%) – for development of services, 40.57 billion soums (22%) – for replenishment of floating assets, 34.21 billion soums (19%) – for other branches. To be noted, extended credits were used for creation of 4,701 new workplaces.
To be noted, the bank pays special attention to development of entrepreneurship. For this purpose, Uzpromstroybank extended microcredits worth a total of 17.09 billion soums, including 16.95 billion soums from own funds and 141.7 million soums – at the expense of the Employment Fund under the Labor Ministry of the Republic of Uzbekistan.
The bank also pays special attention to support of women- entrepreneurs. To foster entrepreneurship initiative among Uzbek women, the bank extended credit resources worth 13 billion soums.
The bank also established a special Fund of preferential crediting of industrial microfirms, small enterprises, dehkans and farms, high-tech and innovative projects. The Fund extended credits worth 40.7 billion soums, including 4.2 billion soums – during 2010.
The bank's credits for further expansion of cattle breeding are also in high demand among Uzbek entrepreneurs. Thus, for ten months of 2010 the bank extended financial resources worth 6.8 billion soums, including credits for poultry worth 1.3 billion soums.
In addition, Uzpromstroybanmk is actively implementing measures stipulated in Resolution of the President of Uzbekistan dated 26 January 2009 "On additional measures for expansion of production of consumer goods and domestic market saturation".
In this context, the bank extended credits worth a total of 44.76 billion soums to producers of consumer goods, farms, dehkans, agrofirms and subjects of entrepreneurship.
At that, 7.7 billion soums were extended to producers of consumer goods for the purchase of technical equipment, 31.56 billion soums – for purchase of raw materials, 261.4 million soums – for leasing.
The bank renders active financial support within the framework of the Resolution of the President of Uzbekistan dated 28 January 2008 "On additional measures for stimulation of the production of domestic nonfoods".
For this purpose, Uzpromstroybank extended credits worth 36.12 billion soums to producers of nonfoods and wholesale enterprises. Out of them, 13.43 billion soums were used for the purchase of technical equipment, 21.3 billion soums - for the purchase of raw materials, 1.2 billion soums were extended for the wholesale trade enterprises.
In 2010, within the framework of the Resolution ratified by the President of Uzbekistan on 22 January
Uzpromstroybank extended 51.41 billion soums to support small enterprises, farms and individual entrepreneurship, 22.94 billion soums - to foster introduction of new and expansion of existing industrial objects, development of industrial, social and market infrastructure, 1.8 billion soums – for expansion of inhouse labor, including family entrepreneurship and craftsmanship.
Thus, Uzbek entrepreneurs can receive Uzpromstroybank's credit almost for any business purpose, including replenishment of floating assets, purchase of trade, industrial or office equipment, repairs of industrial facilities, personal requirements.
