OREANDA-NEWS. December 28, 2010. UTair Aviation continues to demonstrate significant growth. During the 11 months of the current year the carrier has transported 4, 101, 773 passengers, that is up 28, 3 % over the same period in 2009. Industry average growth for the period in Russia stands at 26, 8 %.The airline’s fixed wing fleet logged 152 871 flight hours that is 15, 5 % more than in the period January-November last year. UTair seat occupancy also increased 6.3 points and composed 77, 6 %.

Passenger turnover carried by the company increased 39, 8 % in comparison with last year and composed 7, 389, 907.5 thousand passengers. Industry average growth for the period in Russia stands at 31, 1 %. UTair fixed wing carried 10, 830.1 tons of cargo, that is 23, 4 % more than in 2009. The company has also carried 3, 221.9 tons of mail, that is up 80.2 % over last year.

UTair’s helicopter division has also demonstrated stable growth. UTair helicopters’ logged flights hours constituted over 89, 488, which demonstrates 21.7% growth. UTair’s helicopter division demonstrates significant growth: for the first eleven months the helicopters transported 410, 484 passengers, which is 25.2% more than in the same period of 2009. UTair rotor wing aircraft has transported in this period 67, 466 tons of cargo, which is 24.2 % more than in 2009.

According to the UTair operational forecast for 2010, the airline's fleet of fixed and rotary wing aircraft will have logged a total of 300,000 flight hours. More than 100 fixed wing aircraft and 200 helicopters of various types and classes are involved in realizing the company’s operations program. In 2010, UTair expects to serve more than 4.8 million passengers, 34% more than in 2009. Helicopter operations will be performed in Russia and 11 foreign countries.
