OREANDA-NEWS. December 27, 2010. Credit-Rating, a nationally recognized credit rating agency in Ukraine has announced that it assigned a long-term credit rating of uaA with stable outlook to registered coupon bonds (series B) issued by Kiev-based Platinum Bank PJSC (’bank’). The amount of the issue is UAH100m. In the course of the rating procedure Credit-Rating considered bank’s financial statements for 2005-2009 and 9M2010 and its other inside information.
An obligor or a debt liability with uaA credit rating is characterized with the HIGHLY STRONG creditworthiness as compared to other Ukrainian obligors or debt liabilities. This level of creditworthiness is susceptible to adverse changes in commercial, financial and economic conditions.
Stable outlook indicates that there are no anticipated reasons to change the rating in the course of the year.
Factors maintaining the credit rating
Diversification of the bank’s loan portfolio by major borrowers.
High capitalization and liquidity ratios.
Bank’s assets and liabilities are properly balanced by due terms.
High performance efficiency indicators.
Bank’s openness and transparency.
Factors constraining the credit rating
The bank’s operations are concentrated in the riskiest segments of lending.
High volume of net credit risk under considerable portion of loans granted in foreign currencies to borrowers, the majority of which have no incomes in foreign currencies – this make the bank more vulnerable to credit risks and may weigh on its liquidity and capitalization.
Retaining adverse environment in the financial sector and real sector of the national economy that may undermine solvency of certain bank’s borrowers and weigh on bank’s key figures.
