OREANDA-NEWS. December 27, 2010. Ingosstrakh and the Saint-Petersburg Audit Chamber held a seminar “Auditors’ professional liability insurance within self-regulated organizations”.

The reason for the event was the recent acceptance by the Audit Chamber of Russia of the requirements as to the auditor activity professional liability insurance. Vice-President of the Audit Chamber of Russia, Dmitry Zheltyakov, made a detailed report on the background of the insurance requirements acceptance, explained their basic provisions and answered the questions of the persons present at the event.

Tatyana Lavrova, Head of Liability Insurance Department of Ingosstrakh OJSIC, and Olga Rogulina, Head of Liability Insurance Department of the Ingosstrakh branch in Saint-Petersburg, reported on the part of Ingosstrakh. The specialists of the insurance company told about the auditor companies’ practice of liability insurance, which has been provided by Ingosstrakh since the middle of 1990’s, stages of development of this insurance type in Russia; explained the provisions of the auditors professional liability insurance contract made in accordance with the requirements of the Audit Chamber of Russia. The most interesting was to learn about the indemnities paid by the insurer and claims and complaints received by foreign auditor companies.
