OREANDA-NEWS. December 27, 2010. In 2011, it is planned to install remote workplaces for the staff of IDGC North-West technical departments.

IDGC North-West has commissioned an automated system for the needs of the department of operational processes control.
The system  greatly simplifies the monitoring of power facilities and weather conditions.

IDGC North-West Department of operational processes control  in St. Petersburg has the opportunity to see the real-time status of the main electrical network in seven regions of the company's responsibility and to monitor routine and emergency shutdowns on power objects.

Currently, the center receives about 3 thousand telemetries and 1600 signals from the sites of the IDGC North-West network complex, as well as information on weather conditions.
Now the scheme of the core network of IDGC North-West is shown more clearly, with reference to geography. There are several city maps showing the locations of substations and feeder power lines.

The system keeps a history of changes of parameters, which enables technicians to analyze the past situation, and for future development – to improve the accounting of power capacity for technological connection of consumers. In 2011, it is planned to install remote workplaces for the staff of IDGC North-West technical departments.

In the plans for the next year – is expanding of functionality of the system. It will be possible to assess the reliability of electricity supply by analyzing the number and duration of outages throughout the network. Specialists will be able to conduct an electronic online journal. Collection and analysis of incoming data will enable the management of the  company to coordinate the technical, personnel, transportation resources in crisis situations.
