OREANDA-NEWS. December 27, 2010. With concerted efforts of Aeroexpress and Moscow airport authorities, passenger service at the lines of Paveletsky – Vnukovo and Kievsky – Domodedovo shall be improved materially.

Conversion of the baggage cars to passenger coaches is scheduled for January 2011, with further service quality improvement in view. Our purpose at Aeroexpress is to provide more seats, comfort and time saving for the train passengers. For the reason of the conversion works, we have to suspend registration of luggage belonging to the checked-in passengers at Paveletsky and Kievsky station terminals from January onwards. However, all travelers may register their luggage straight at Domodedovo and Vnukovo airports, as before.

Please, note that the same steps were taken at Belorussky Station – Sheremetyevo Airport line in December 2010. Those changes were and still are required because of continual expansion in the number of travelers going to Moscow airports by express trains.
During eleven months of 2010, Aeroexpress has provided its services to 9,194 ths passengers, which is 51 per cent increase versus the same period in year 2009. In January – November 2010, passenger flows at Aeroexpress lines were distributed as follows (percentage vs. 2009 is also given below):

•    Paveletsky RW Station – Domodedovo Airport: 4,453 ths (+20%);
•    Belorussky RW Station – Sheremetyevo Airport: 3,176 ths (+149%);
•    Kievsky RW Station – Vnukovo Airport: 1,565 ths (+43%).

The next stage of integrated service improvement shall be CUSS kiosks provided for passenger check-in at Paveletsky and Kievsky station terminals.
