OREANDA-NEWS. December 24, 2010. Azerbaijan and Belarus begin active inter-parliamentary cooperation.

Belarusian ambassador Nikolai Paskevich to Azerbaijan says that this year both countries have defined organizational forms of inter-parliamentary cooperation, on which the parties agreed as far back as in 2009.

"In addition to bilateral cooperation, our states’ parliaments are able to act within the framework of the parliamentary dimension of European Union’s Eastern Partnership program, defending their countries’ interests,” he said.

For development of active inter-parliamentary cooperation Belarus expects that the Azerbaijani parliament will form a group on cooperation with Belarus.
