OREANDA-NEWS. December 24, 2010. Sergey Kogogin, Director General of OJSC KAMAZ, will participate in a conference devoted to the strategy of development of the Russian automobile industry for a period till 2020. The conference will be held by Russia’s Prime Minister Vladimir Putin.

The participants will discuss how to overcome consequences of the economic crisis and to ensure stable development of the automobile industry in a post-crisis period. The strategy of development of the Russian automobile industry for a period till 2020 was approved by the Russian Government and confirmed by the Russian Ministry of Commerce and Trade on April 23, 2010.

The conference will take place in Nizhny Novgorod. Sergey Kogogin, Director General of OJSC KAMAZ, will deliver a report on KAMAZ’s state of affairs and prospects of development there. It is planned to hold a video conference with the country’s automobile plants. Irek Gumerov, Deputy Director General of Development, will real-time present the participants a new model line of KAMAZ vehicles and the company’s promising developments directly from Research and Development Center of OJSC KAMAZ.
