OREANDA-NEWS. December 24, 2010. The Koks Group has determined the winner of a tender to develop the company's IT-development strategy. IBS has been declared the winner of the tender. The company will develop a high-tech project to promote the Group's educational institutions and production enterprises.

The project calls for the creation of an information system for forecasting labor resource needs. In addition, IBA will develop an IT strategy for Industrial Metallurgical Holding Management Company. The project will require IBS to create a concept for developing IMH's information technologies until 2015. This document will set out the main focus areas and projects in the sphere of information technologies for the management company and the holding's companies.

The urgency of developing an IT strategy derives from the need to develop a unified IT-development policy at the holding, as a vertically integrated structure, and to ensure the necessary level of development of the IT infrastructure and support for business processes. IBS consultants will conduct analysis of key business processes, as well as a comprehensive study and analysis of the companies' IT infrastructure.

This will make it possible to appraise the effectiveness of existing IT solutions, as well as the extent to which they match the company's current needs and future business challenges. Based on the results of an audit and a formalization of strategic goals, IBS will develop and defend before the company's management an information technologies development concept until 2015. All work on the project is slated for completion in spring of 2011.
