OREANDA-NEWS. December 24, 2010. Vladivostok Air aircrafts have made the first flights on new international routes of the airline to the Cam Ranh airport, Socialist Republic of Vietnam. About 100 tourists from Vladivostok and 50 from Khabarovsk have been solemnly met directly at the airport with flowers, gifts, salutatory posters.

"We are very glad to new visitors from Russia and we welcome opening of direct flights to Cam Ranh from the Far-Eastern cities — Vladivostok and Khabarovsk", — said in the welcoming speech the Head of Department of Administration in Khanh Hoa province Mr. Huynh Ngoc Bong meeting at the new airport of Cam Ranh the first flight of tourists from the Russian Far-East. Earlier tourists from Russia, wishing to visit the Vietnamese province of Khanh Hoa with its pearls-resorts Nha Trang and Phan Thiet, have been compelled to fly to Hanoi, and already therefrom by internal flight got to Cam Ranh. It wasn’t so convenient in view of additional time and financial expenses. Now new flight has essentially simplified this way.

The special relation of the Vietnamese authorities to new tourist flights was also underlined by the general consul of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam in Vladivostok Mr. Vu Zyong Juan. He has decided that it is necessary to go by the first flight from Vladivostok to take part in the solemn presentation of a new route in Cam Ranh. The existing agreement between the Russian Federation and Socialist Republic of Vietnam about the 15-day visa-free period of presence in the country only adds advantages to rest in the territory of Vietnam. Besides, there is a possibility to issue the visa for longer term at once on an arrival directly at the airport.

The Russian tourists notice that rest in this part of Vietnam more available than, let us say, in the near Thailand. Here many hotels of a various service class have been built during the last years. The cafe and restaurants with Vietnamese and European cuisine are opened.

Here you will see hearty welcome from the head of a high rank, and from street fruit tradeswoman. All of them are glad to new tourists from Russia, visiting their hospitable region. It is necessary to notice that there is no human chaos in Nha Trang at this time year, though it sounds both Russian, and English, and the French speech in the streets. You always without problems will find not occupied little table in a cafe or a free chaise lounge on a beach.

Those who wish especial solitude on rest can reach on a boat the nearest small islands for 10–15 minutes many, which scattered in the sea nearby to Nha Trang and to lodge in cozy bungalows. In total it is about 50 such islands — for any taste and budget.
