OREANDA-NEWS. December 22, 2010.  The Association of Insurance Companies of Azerbaijan (ASA) has re-launched the mechanism of activities of the committees on areas of insurance business.

ASA chairman Azer Aliyev informs that their Judiciary Committee chaired by a representative of Standard Insurance has started working.

"The Committee is dealing with improvement of the rules of insurance relating to mortgages. The Committee also gathers information about legislative difficulties in the resolution of which we could be of benefit," Aliyev said.

Last week the ASA Supervisory Board adopted Association’s strategy for 2011-12. It has a focus on increasing the educational level of employees of insurance companies and propaganda of insurance in the country. ASA will also work over improvement of legislative framework and, together with the insurers, on the introduction of new insurance products in the country.
