OREANDA-NEWS. December 21, 2010. President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov received Advisor of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Prince Muhammad bin Saad bin Khalid bin Muhammad Al Saud.

Expressing gratitude for the opportunity of a personal meeting, the guest conveyed the hearty greetings and best wishes of King of Saudi Arabia Abdullah Ibn Abdul Aziz Al Saud, the Crown Prince, the Government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the leader of the Turkmen state. Prince Muhammad ibn Saad bin Khalid ibn Muhammad Al Saud noted that Saudi Arabia highly valued the relations of friendship and mutually advantageous cooperation with Turkmenistan and welcomed enthusiastically the achievements gained by the Turkmen people on the path of progressive reforms initiated by the national leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The guest noted that each of his visits to Turkmenistan was an opportunity to see grandiose changes, which were a result of large-scale reforms launched in the country.

Thanking for the kind words, the President of Turkmenistan focused with satisfaction on the high dynamics of the international dialogue built initially on a constructive basis of mutual respect and confidence. Expressing the best wishes to the King of Saudi Arabia and the members of the royal family, the Turkmen leader noted that relations between the two countries had been filled with a new content to meet the profound potential of cooperation and the mutual intention to implement it for the common benefit in recent years.

During the meeting the Turkmen leader and his guest exchanged views on the opportunities for bilateral partnership that effectively developed today in the trade and economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres. Putting emphasis on the intense interest of Saudi Arabia in enhancing further effective cooperation with Turkmenistan, Prince Muhammad bin Saad bin Khalid bin Muhammad Al Saud noted that most favourable prospects for cooperation were opened up by the Turkmen leader’s constructive, peaceful policy that had underlay the rapid progress of the country and its high prestige on the world arena. Taking an opportunity, the guest heartily congratulated President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov on the 15th anniversary of neutrality of Turkmenistan recently celebrated in the country and wished peace, wellbeing and prosperity to the Turkmen people.

In conclusions the President of Turkmenistan and the high-ranking official of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia expressed belief that relationships between the two states cemented with a firm friendship and common spiritual traditions would be developed further in the interests and for the benefit of the two brotherly nations.
