OREANDA-NEWS. December 21, 2010. Joint Stock Company "Zaporozhtransformator" (ZTR) manufactured and dispatched equipment for power supply system of Islamic Republic Afghanistan. 3 reactors rated for voltage 220kV will be delivered to S/S "Naibabad".

The Contract for delivery of two reactors rated for 25MVAr 220kV and one reactor rated for  10MVAr 220kV was signed in April 2010. The dispatch took place in November of the current year. Arrival of the equipment to the place of destination in Afghanistan is expected by the end of the year 2010.

S/S "Naibabad" is purposed for supply of Afghanistan northern region with power. The construction of the substation is carried out within the scope of the Afghanistan Infrastructure Rehabilitation Programme (AIRP). The Programme is established and financed by United States Agency for International Development (USAID).

Totally within the period of cooperation with Afghanistan JSC "ZTR" manufactured 79 units of transformer equipment for Islamic Republic, 64 units of them were produced for the period from 2003 up to 2010.
