OREANDA-NEWS. December 21, 2010. KEGOC held internal corporate contest on knowledge of the state language among corporate employees (non-native nationalities) as a part of arrangements on interethnic relationships and development of language policy.  Representatives of Executive Administration, NDC SO, Energoinform Agency and Akmolinskiye MES branch took part in this creative contest.

According to the results of the contest the judges have defined the following winners:

1st place – Yuriy Marulin, Senior Manager of Project Management Department;

2nd place – Petro Stepanov, Senior Manager of System Services Department;

3rd place – Anatoliy Artemov, Senior Specialist of Energoinform Agency and Yuliya Mezinets, Leading Software Engineer of Akmolinskiye MES branch.

The team of National Dispatch Center received special certificate and appreciations.

The winner of the contest Yuriy Marulin, Senior Manager of Project Management Department tells: “This contest is very similar to intensive education because while participants are selecting texts, verses, sayings, and riddles they study a lot of information and in virtue of that they study not just state language more deeply but also Kazakh culture as a whole”.

The contest program consisted of several stages including narrating of the biography, history of the city, demonstration knowledge of sayings and riddles, verses declamation, and the musical performance. In this contest the participants demonstrated not only their language knowledge but also their artistry and team spirit of the subdivisions staff. The most exciting was the performance with sketches.

Organizers and participants of the contest expressed their wish to hold such kind of arrangements for popularization of the state language on the regular basis.
