Moldova to Held First General Agricultural Census
OREANDA-NEWS. December 21, 2010. The first general agricultural census will be held in Moldova from March 15 through April 15, 2011. This decision was taken at the meeting of the Republican Commission for organization of the general agricultural census carried out by Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Economy Valerii Lazar, according to the Ministry of Economy’s press service.
The chosen period is the best for collection of such information. The general agricultural census will be carried out throughout the country, both in the rural and urban localities. The data on agriculture as a whole, including the information about small holdings, irrespective of their sizes, will be collected during the census.
The works at the preparation and carrying out of the sensus are funded by the state budget in the amount of 20% and by the foreign assistance – by 80%.
