OREANDA-NEWS. December 21, 2010. The investment project will be implemented by the Moldovan company Bioenergagro Ltd. And the Ukrainian Zorg Ukraina LTD, it was informed at the Ministry of Economy. The plan will be built in the village of Tsarigrad, Drochia region, on the territory of the 13.49 hectare industrial park Bioenergagro. The decision on its creation was taken by the Moldovan government.

According to the project feasibility study, the plant will produce 16 million cubic meters of gas a year from biomass. The gas will be used for the national economy’s needs. The project is valued at 25.3 million euros. It will be implemented in three stages. The contribution of the Bioenergagro which will be the administrator of the Bioenergagro industrial park and will be engaged in attraction of other investors into it, will total 700 thousand euros.

The money will be spent by it for elaboration of the project and purchase of the land. Zorg Ukraina LTD administered by the Cypriot company Liseus Holding LTD and engaged in construction of biogas stations, will build the necessary engineer infrastructure. The Swiss company The Mercando Green Technology AG will be the major investor. The second stage will have to do with implementation of the technologies for producing biofuel to be used for heating greenhouses to grow vegetables.

The approximate cost of this part of the project is valued at 4 million euros. The third stage will have installations for producing electric power based on biogas put in operation. This part of the project is also valued at 4 million euros. It is planned that implementation of the project will enable reducing the country’s dependency on the imported Russian natural gas and raise its energy security.

The secondary product – the bio-fertilizers – will also be received, in the amount of 60 thousand tones a year. Implementation of the project will enable creating about 100 new workplaces with the average salary of 400 euros. Another 350 people will be engaged in the agrarian sector.
