OREANDA-NEWS. December 21, 2010. Ukio bankas has distributed emissions of bonds in the litas and euros for over LTL 12.25 million. From 15 November 2010 to 14 December 2010, 110 782 units of the bonds with nominal LTL 100 par value with fixed 4.9 percent annual interest rate and 3 409 units of the bonds with nominal EUR 100 par value with fixed annual interest rate 2.9 percent were distributed, reported the press-centre of Ukio Bankas.

„The amount of the emissions met our expectations. Private persons acquired the major part of the bonds and it witnesses that the residents assess the situation on financial market quite carefully and consider bonds to be a reliable alternative to saving products. Bond buyers have appreciated favorable terms of the bonds acquisition as well as terms and interest rate proposed by us”, – said Marius Arlauskas, Director of Financial Institutions and Fund Raising Department.

Additionally, he emphasized that the clients more and more often acquire bonds online, using Ukio bankas electronic banking system Eta bankas. According to M. Arlauskas, the possibility to perform financial operations online helps the clients to react to market proposals more effectively.

The bonds of these Ukio bankas issues will be redeemed 22 December 2011.
