OREANDA-NEWS. December 21, 2010. As the year draws to a close, SEB has given its Internet channels a thorough makeover. The new website opened marks the end of preparations for the euro – SEB is now ready for the changeover to the new currencyб reported the press-centre of SEB.

“The Internet bank opened two months ago was very well-received by customers. This was attested to by the rapid and fluid transition made by users to the new environment. In addition, our Internet bank already has over 10,000 users of the Financial Planner who have found that the service is a unique resource for keeping track of everyday income and expenditures. Today the list of updated e-channels increased by one – the significantly new and improved website,” said the chairman of SEB’s management board Riho Unt.

The objective of the improvement to the SEB website was to give the online bank and website a standard design and functional logic for customers. Thanks to the better structure of the content and the carefully-considered layout, it is now much easier and convenient for customers to find information. In the course of the update, over 1000 Estonian-language texts were rewritten to make the bank’s products and services as easy to understand as possible for the customers.

“SEB’s new website is a major step ahead in terms of the bank’s customer-friendly and carefully-designed Web solutions. With the completion of the website, all of SEB’s service channels are now ready for the coming of the euro. All of the transitions have been successfully completed, as a result of which we can close the old website and online bank. The upgrade of the e-channels will continue in the euro era as well – a new mobile bank is expected early next year, and in early 2012, a new Internet bank for business customers,” added Riho Unt. The text version of the Internet bank for customers with slow Internet connections will also make the transition to the euro.
