OREANDA-NEWS. December 21, 2010. Beltelecom told Belarusian journalists about the way which television ZALA goes before becoming interactive. More than 30 representatives of capital and republican mass media joined the specialists of Beltelecom in the themed press tour, reported the press-centre of Beltelecom.

The first “stop” of the press tour was the complex earth stations Teleport Belarus – a strategically important and unique facility in Belarus, responsible for organization of international satellite channels. In fact, TV content of ZALA television originates from the Teleport station.

Teleport was opened in 1996 and it is located 40km from Minsk, covers the area of 6,5 hectares, and includes two transmitting-receiving satellite stations, a complex of receiving satellite antennas. This is the Teleport station that satellite broadcasting of STV channels is organized from (for terrestrial broadcasting in Belarus) and Belarus-TV. As well as organization of reception of satellite television broadcasts by the order of (NGTRK – National State Television & Radio Company (channel NTV), ONT, “Channel One. Global network”.

The second “stop” of the press tour was International Switching Center of Beltelecom, where Data Processing Center (a large hosting platform of Belarus) and IPTV platform are located, due to which the provision of digital interactive television ZALA to residents of the country is possible

IPTV Support team is working daily to ensure uninterrupted operation of the equipment of the platform, as well as development, installation and adjustment of ZALA TV content for organization of main and additional services.

The next “stop” of the press tour was Automatic Telephone Exchange (АТE) and the Service Center of Beltelecom, located at 7, Gebeleva str. АТE specialists described physical connection of subscribers to television ZALA, showed how the line is crossed-connected so that a subscriber could use the service at home. Specialists of the Service Center held a demonstration of ZALA during which interactive possibilities of television, bundled offers and services available today to the subscribers were described in details.

ZALA comprises about 50 channels in an interactive format, digital picture quality and surround stereo sound, a number of additional services and packages, such as Video on demand, a package of TV channels in HD-quality, a package Kids, a themed package “Na divane”, a virtual cinema, and a karaoke. For corporate clients there is a special package Corporate and a themed package World of Sport. ZALA Virtual gallery comprises creative works of Belarusian artists, theaters and photographers. 200000 subscribers are now connected to ZALA television.
