Stroytransgaz to Test Taweelah–Fujairah Gas Pipeline in UAE
OREANDA-NEWS. December 20, 2010. Stroytransgaz completed another phase of Taweelah–Fujairah Gas Pipeline Project in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The pipeline was tested on December 1–2, 2010. The tests were intended to coincide with the UAE National Day celebrated in honour of uniting the 7 emirates into one state, which took place in 1971.
Having filled the pipeline with gas, Stroytransgaz tested the mainline part and the block valve stations for leakage. After the tests proved to be successful, the pipeline was commissioned. The client company thanked the staff of Stroytransgaz for their fruitful work and confirmed their satisfaction with the quality of the work performed.

Stroytransgaz has been working in the UAE since 2008. The construction of Taweelah–Fujairah Gas Pipeline is the first large-scale fuel-and-energy project implemented in the UAE by a Russian construction company. The client company is Dolphin Energy Limited and the contract is executed on EPC basis. The capacity of the transnational Taweelah–Fujairah Gas Pipeline (244 km long, 48” in diameter) is 1.6 billion cubic metres of gas per day.
