OREANDA-NEWS. December 17, 2010. Steel pipe and railway wheel company Interpipe has launched the first book on CSR in Ukraine entitled 'Corporate Social Responsibility: All you need to know'. The launch and presentation of the book was held in the framework of the UN Global Compact in the Dnepropetrovsk region. During the event Interpipe presented the Company’s ecological and social achievements.

Oleg Kuzmin, Director for Corporate Affairs at Interpipe said: 'As a member of the UN Global Compact since 2006, Interpipe conducts its everyday activity through the prism of social responsibility. One of the most recent projects, finalized this year, has been a book on CSR “Corporate Social Responsibility: All you need to know”. The book is unique not only for Ukraine, but for the whole world, as it is the first publication with systematized theoretic material, practical tasks, tests and a collection of the best leading Ukrainian and world CSR practices. The book gives a comprehensive overview from international experts and business representatives on the development of CSR in Ukraine. I am convinced that the book will be useful for managers working in the sphere of corporate social responsibility.'

The UN Global Compact is a strategic policy initiative for businesses that are committed to aligning their operations and strategies with ten universally accepted principles in the areas of human rights, labor, environment and anti-corruption.
