December 14, 2010 the meeting of the board of the Federal Tariff Service of Russia took place.  One of the considered questions was the approval of the limit of minimum of tariff  levels for electric power transmission in the Arkhangelsk region and Komi Republic.

"Regulators in these two regions didn’t choose the RAB-based tariff regulation method  for   "Arkhenergo" and "Komienergo.  From 1 January 2011, for these two branches of IDGC North-West  will be applied other method of long-term regulation, approved by the order of the Federal Tariff Service of Russia from July 29, 2010 № 174-e / 8 - a method of long-term options ", - said Head of Tariff Department IDGC North-West Valentin Chesnokov .

According to him, the method of RAB directed primarily at large-scale investment programs implementation and increase of investment. The method of long-term options designed to increase the effectiveness of current activities of the regulated organization.
