After spending most of the day deeper in the red, the UX rose toward the end of the session to finish just 0.13% down on the session at 2,336.56. Trading volume on the exchange, including derivatives, was high at UAH 277.1 mln. Ukrnafta (UNAF UK) once again lead by turnover, moving UAH 78.0 mln and rising 0.40%. Ukrtelecom (UTLM UK) printed UAH 41.8 mln and gained 6.06%, the most among blue chips yesterday, following news that six entities were interested in privatizing it at an auction scheduled for December 28. Luhanskteplovoz (LTPL UK) was another strong performer yesterday, moving up 3.52%. On the interbank forex market, the Ukrainian hryvnya slid further against the US dollar for a third day, from UAH/USD 7.980 to 7.9975.
