OREANDA-NEWS. December 16, 2010. Bohdan, the major car maker in Ukraine, may produce coaches and airport buses for cities hosting Euro 2012. On Dec 15, Vice Prime Minister Borys Kolesnikov made this announcement citing the memo on cooperation singed between the Ukrainian government and the company. According to the official, the host cities need some 400 vehicles for Euro 2012. It had also been reported in a separate news break that Bohdan had agreed with MAN (Germany) to launch the production of coaches of MAN-Bohdan class in Lutsk in 2011.

Millennium Capital considers the news as POSITIVE for LUAZ. The company has managed to increase its order book for the coming year. Millennium Capital estimates the deal will bring additionally USD  35mn at min in revenues to the producer in 2011. Besides, the MAN-Bohdan project will also raise the company’s production standards improving thereby the LUAZ competitiveness on the domestic market.
