Freight One Plans to Haul about 1 mn Metric Tons of Liquid Freight
OREANDA-NEWS. December 16, 2010. During the first 11 months of 2010, the company’s Samara branch hauled more than 8.5 million tons of liquid freight, which is more than a quarter of the total freight hauled on the Kuybyshev Railway. This includes more than 1.5 million metric tons since the beginning of the fourth quarter. In December, the company plans to haul another one million tons of oil and petroleum products.
The company expects to haul 25% more in the fourth quarter than in the third quarter. Haulage typically increases during wintertime when the navigation season on the Volga River ends.
The branch expects to finish 2010 having hauled some 10 million tons of liquid freight on the Kuybyshev Railway in Freight One tanks, a 13% increase over last year.
The company hauls oil and petroleum products mainly for such companies as Yukos-Transservis (YuTS CJSC, resource owner of Rosneft Oil Company), Bashkirnefteprodukt, Neftetransport and TAIF-NK.
