On Monday, Dec 13, the UX index closed 1.65% up at 2,283.78 ppt. Total equity turnover improved to UAH 177.8mn. Most sectors closed in the black. Gencos advanced on the positive news about cancelation of ban on their privatization. At this, DOEN (plus7.33%) headed by growth, while ZAEN inched down 0.19%. Steel makers climbed 1.8% with ENMZ (plus2.84%) heading in the sector. Banks were relatively flat with BAVL rising 0.38% while USCB (plus0.05%) remained marginally high. Among individual names MZVM slumped 17.68% on UAH 8.2mn suffering from negative corporate news. UNAF surged 4.60% on the highest turnover moving the index up.
