Azerbaijan Endorsed Two New Standards of Information Technologies
OREANDA-NEWS. December 14, 2010. The Technical Committee for Standardization of "Information and Communication Technologies" of the State Committee for Standardization, Metrology and Patents of Azerbaijan has adopted new standards AZS 495-2010 and AZS 496 - 2010.
The Committee reports that new AZS 495-2010 defines "the set of the keys in accordance with the letters of the Azerbaijani alphabet in dependence on language", consisting of 32 letters of the Latin alphabet.
This set of keyboard is designed for manufacturing, production and use in software products of computer keyboard and other equipment. The standard regulates a set of keypad buttons contributing letters and function keys and buttons that control the cursor, and a set of buttons controlling blocks of editing and numbers (NumLock) is determined in accordance with international standards.
Standard AZS 496-2010 “Set of the keyboard in accordance with the Azerbaijani alphabet letters, regardless of the language" does not determine the size of the buttons, the shape of the keyboard and the distance between the buttons and other physical parameters, these issues are governed by international standards.
The standards will take effect since 20 December 2010.
