OREANDA-NEWS. December 14, 2010. The new auction to sell six MIG-29 fighters will take place in Moldova on December 28 in the Marculesti International Airport’s office. The planes which remained at the National Army’s disposal after the USSR collapse are on sale at the previous total starting price of USD8.5 million.

Candidates are to pay USD3 thousand and an advance in the amount of 10% of the initial cost of the lot for participation in the auction.

The previous auction was fixed for November 30, 2010 but failed to take place due to the lack of purchasers.
