OREANDA-NEWS. December 13, 2010. Within the ‘Year of Ecology’, the Ecology Department and other organizations of SOCAR take continuous and efficient steps on environmental protection in their operation spheres. Under the agreement with ‘Temiz Sheher’ JSC, operating Balakhany wastes polygon, SOCAR Ecology Department periodically takes soil, air and water samples from the site for making initial environmental assessment and conducts their analysis at the Laboratory of Comprehensive Analysis.

While monitoring the abovementioned area by the expedition a radiation background of the area was also determined. Currently, the planned works are successfully continued.
