Bank of Moscow Implements New Opportunity to Make Payments
OREANDA-NEWS. December 13, 2010. Within the scope of presentation of the "Unified State Services Portal" project, implemented by the Ministry for Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation, the Bank of Moscow has acted as partner in the pilot launch and is the first Russian bank to implement the technical possibility of paying for housing and utility services via the Unified State Service Portal by means of Rostelecom Company infomats.
The Unifies State Services Portal is a portal for state and municipal services providing access to information about taxes, fines and other levies charged by state bodies, including the Federal Tax Service of the Russian Federation, the Federal Immigration Service of the Russian Federation, the GIBDD (Traffic Police) of the Ministry of the Interior of the Russian Federation, and an opportunity to pay these through the individual’s "Personal Office" of the portal.
In addition to payment of taxes and levies, it is planned to provide an opportunity pay for housing and utility services via the Unified State Services Portal.
"Within the scope of the pilot demonstration of the project, the Bank of Moscow, as Rostelecom’s partner, has implemented the opportunity to pay for housing and utility services. In consideration of the Bank’s tremendous experience of working on social projects, of co-operating with the Unified Clearing Centre system and its available unique technologies, the Bank of Moscow is already prepared now to join actively in the federal projects for rendering state services in electronic format and to provide its clients with a convenient way to pay for these services using remote servicing channels and at automated self-service areas through which the Unified State Services Portal may be accessed", commented Oksana Smirnova-Krell, Vice President, Head of IT of the Bank of Moscow.
The Bank of Moscow is actively participating in socially significant projects designed to modernise provision of state services, including the "Universal Electronic Card" and "Federal Treasury" projects.
